More photos! These are from the Death Grips show last week. Most intense gig I’ve ever shot, it was amazing! Dark and really difficult to shoot, but so worth it.

Two more favourites, I got this effect by putting a screw-on fisheye filter on a 17-85mm lens and zooming in. It ended up really looking the part, I think!
Some details on Sharon’s costume:
The base is a black leotard and leggings which she tried to spraypaint silver, with… mixed success.
The bikini cost €1, and was bought on sale with along with a gold one years ago on the basis that it would come in handy for something. I’m pretty sure this was the first time.
The crown is made from a broken bit of bicycle helmet gaffer-taped to a hair band. I was originally going to photoshop out the tape where it’s visible, but I decided it actually works with the theme.
Ok, so, I have been horribly neglecting this blog now that I’ve finally started using facebook.
Here are some photos from a shoot I did with Sharon in between finishing my masters and starting my PhD. The point of the shoot was to use my 1950s bellows camera, the film from which I still haven’t got developed, for something fun and period-appropriate. So we went for a kitschy sci-fi b-movie style shoot, largely inspired by I Was Kidnapped By Lesbian Pirates From Outer Space!!, but with some Mad Max-y influences creeping in as well. It was a lot of fun!
These are some highlights, check out the whole shoot here.
I was really pleased with the tree branch covered in little bits of plastic bags we found sticking up out of some rocks, it really looked like a crappy low-budget prop!
Crows in the Thomas House
I’ve been trying for months now to get decent pictures of the lead singer of Crows and Driveway, with his running around in front of the stage where the lights aren’t. Finally managed it at this show, I think!
