My name is Yan Bourke, and this is my photography blog.

I mostly shoot portraits and live music, but I like to try other things too. I contribute to Goldenplec and Zest for Life, and you can find my portfolio at the link below.

So I finally started using my Facebook page, which of course meant that I started totally neglecting my tumblr. I’m gonna start posting some highlights from the last month or two, though! These are from a fundraiser for the Tour de Phizz exhibition. The top three photos are of Complan, the bottom two are Total Winners.

This one is almost like a collage.

This one is pretty much perfect. I’m tempted to upload it twice, both ways up. BATS and the aforementioned really good band whose name I can’t remember. Complan (thanks Chewing on Tinfoil!)

I got these photos developed over a week ago, and I’ve looked through them more than once, and I literally just now realised that that’s me in this one. This is one of the bands that opened for Chewing on Tinfoil’s send-off gig before their US tour, - I can’t remember their name, but they were really good Complan, and in the background, the guitarist from BATS.

This one is particularly good, for example :)
I’ve only scanned three so far though, because my scanner will only work with my old laptop and it keeps deciding not to talk to it.

My fisheye camera got a little stuck close to the end of the roll, so I thought it was done. Then it got stuck again as I rewound it and I didn’t know what the problem was. When it unstuck itself, I thought I’d only rewound a couple of frames, but it turns out I’d almost rewound the whole roll. So I started shooting again, and almost all of them came out double-exposed. Some are good that way, though!
