My name is Yan Bourke, and this is my photography blog.

I mostly shoot portraits and live music, but I like to try other things too. I contribute to Goldenplec and Zest for Life, and you can find my portfolio at the link below.

More photos! These are from the Death Grips show last week. Most intense gig I’ve ever shot, it was amazing! Dark and really difficult to shoot, but so worth it.

Fuck it, let’s keep this ball rolling. Here is easily the most famous artist I’ve shot, Ne-Yo, in the O2 in Dublin earlier this year. Usually I only shoot bands I’m a fan of, but I actually had loads of fun shooting this, so I’ll definitely be doing it again!

Unexpectedly breaking radio silence to post some photos of a band people have actually heard of, for once!

These are my favourite shots from Enter Shikari’s show in Dublin last week. Check out more here, and even more here!

Finally got these shots developed, which were the whole point of this photoshoot - using my camera from the 1950s for something appropriately kitchy and 50s-themed.

Coooooool!
Eileen got me a fisheye lens adaptor for our anniversary, and I’ve been having fun with the effect I get when I zoom in with it on my 17-85 lens, but there hasn’t been a light source in the background like the one in the Thomas House (Christmas lights, basically) before. I wonder why they ended up that shape? There’ll be more of these going up on Goldenplec soon, I was just excited about this one.
